Woodlands Village Halloween Activities – October 31, 2026

Dear Woodlands Village Residents,
I would like to provide an update regarding this year’s Halloween activities for Woodlands
Village residents.
First, thank you to everyone who participated in the recent vote on the options for this year’s
Halloween celebration. In a very close vote, the neighborhood expressed its preference to
maintain the traditional Halloween activities on October 31 rather than move forward with a
neighborhood-only celebration.
Accordingly, trick-or-treating will take place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 6:00 p.m.
to 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
We kindly ask all residents to respect the 9:00 p.m. end time by turning off their exterior lights to
signal the official conclusion of trick-or-treating. Your cooperation will help ensure a consistent
and enjoyable experience for everyone in the neighborhood.
The Woodlands Village Homeowners Association (WVHOA) Board will continue to explore
opportunities to enhance our community and make Woodlands Village one of the premier
neighborhoods in Orange County.

Woodlands Village Neighbors

At the most recent HOA Board meeting on October 1, a proposal was made to modify how we celebrate Halloween in Woodlands Village this year.

As many of you know, Halloween has traditionally brought increased traffic into the neighborhood, along with occasional damage to yards and an increase in trash left behind.

An alternative was proposed that would allow our neighborhood children to enjoy Halloween while reducing some of these issues.

Proposed Alternative

• Friday, October 30: Woodlands Village would hold a neighborhood-only trick-or-treating night for children who live in our community.
• Saturday, October 31: Woodlands Village would not officially celebrate Halloween. Signs would be posted in advance on the front walls of the entrance indicating that the neighborhood is not participating in Halloween on the 31st.

The HOA Board will leave this decision to the residents through a text vote.

Voting

Voting closes October 7, 2026.

• If you want to celebrate Halloween on October 31 as usual:

  Example: 31 @ 4631
• If you prefer the alternative neighborhood-only celebration on October 30 and do not want to participate on October 31:
